Rakesh K. Rajak is leading our office in Patna. He is responsible for the overall implementation of our projects and supervises our local staff and interns.

He has a masters from the Delhi Schools of Social Work and extensive experience in the third sector.

Pratik Kumar holds a B. Tech. from IIT Delhi. He has a career spanning over two and a half decades in the UN, international NGOs, the Indian Government and the private sector. He has also worked with bilateral donors, UN agencies, the cooperate industry and foundations, print and electronic media. He is also a member of the advisory board.

Dr. Aparajita Sharma, advisory board

Dr. Sharma has been working for a decade with various leading national and international organizations on the Right to Education in India and South Asia.
She is author of the book "Education for Peace - Building Possibilities Through Countering Hegemony".

Anjela Taneja, advisory board

Anjela Taneja holds a MSc in Child Development from Delhi University and a MPhil from the Jawaharal Nehru University in Educational Studies. She is India's leading expert for school education and publishes frequently in the most popular newspapers of India and is featured in other media and academic journals on a regular basis. She is a member of the National Council of the Right to Education Forum, India, and Executive Board Member of the global Right to Education Initiative. She currently works with Oxfam.

Prabhat Kumar holds a MA, LLB and B. Ed. He i a practicing lawyer and social worker as well as a member of the People's Union for Civil Liberties. As a founder of Prayatna, he has a strong commitment to the idea of non-violence, dialogue as a means to solve conflicts in society, and Gandhian ideals in a broader sense.

Martin Haus holds a B. A. in Transnational Social Work from Frankfurt (Germany). He is now studying for his M. Sc. in Development Studies at the London School of Economics (UK). As the first chairman and co-founder of our partner organization Nitya Bal Vikas Deutschland e. V., he is also one of the initiators of our think tank.

Dr. Vishwa Anand, advisory board

Muzaffarpur, Bihar, India

Dr. Anand is a renowned sociologist and an expert on the political economy of Bihar.
He is the author of "Poverty & Rural Violence in Bihar" which provides an in-depth analysis of the rural society in Bihar.
Dr. Anand has been working on the Right to Education for the last two years and also founded the Bihar Equal Education Initiative which demands quality education for all children in Bihar.

Benjamin Scholz, advisory board

Münster, Germany

Mr. Scholz is chairman of our German partner organization Nitya Bal Vikas Deutschland e. V. He is studying law and has been interning with a law firm in India in the past.
Being head of the PR department at our partner organization, he is representing our think-tank in Europe and manages communications with key donors in the region.
