In-house internship

To profit from close and personal interaction, an in-house intership is the perfect choice. You will have the opportunity to participate actively in our research and interaction with partners, governments, and civil society. Depending on your experience and skills, you might be assigned your own little research project (or you can suggest your own, of course!).

Your profile:

  • Good writing skills in English and Hindi

  • Familiarity with research methodologies

  • Interest and knowledge in the field of education, especially school education

  • Openness and readiness to learn something new

  • Familiarity with PDIA, issues of governance and public administration, and how change happens (see below) if you want to do research

We offer:

  • A young and dynamic team

  • Support from our national and international advisory board members

  • Regular monitoring and guidance

  • An internship with purpose instead of chai making

How to prepare:

In order to get the most out of your internship, it is useful to be familiar with some cutting-edge skills and knowledge. We have prepared a list of free resources that help you to familiarize yourself with the field. We expect our interns to prepare before they start their internship as you will not join us for making chai, but for working with us.

Online course: Making Government Work in Hard Places, Princeton University.

E-Book: Building State Capability, Harvard University.

E-Book: How Change Happens, Duncan Green.

We will provide you with further resources as per your requirement. We always have an open ear for your questions.
